Where are you? I grew up in the north – we had hazelnuts, but no cobs. I think of them as something in Sussex, Kent, Suffolk, rightly or wrongly.

Wind carried me away across the Ocean .Interesting your thoughts place me in such Lands. I assume the Earth underneath me was once whole with the mentioned places, long before Water wedged itself in between. I planted a Hazelnut two years ago in my garden and it is growing beautifully.
